Thanks for the link to the radio program (http://www.kdvs.org/show-info/1273). I liked the easy conversation between you and Andy. Your poem, “The Way I Remember” got me thinking about our memories and how they get distorted. So the sister at the beginning with the splinter was really you…Am I right? I look forward to someday checking out “Jacob Wrestling”. So intriguing!!
Thanks so much for listening, Kathy! I appreciate it. I’m glad you enjoyed the poem; it was one of the rare pieces for me that actually comes from a personal experience. To the best of my memory (and the memory seems quite clear to me), the incident happened to my older sister. But when I found that scar a year or so, I had to really interrogate that memory. I still can’t be sure what really happened!
