It’s been a beautifully busy summer thus far, filled with literature, sunshine, and, for me, lots and lots of teaching obligations. But while I’ve been attempting to educate our future world leaders about the glories of the English language and its literature, I haven’t been forgetting to take Burn This House out for a whirl now and then.
In the coming days, I hope to see you at The Grape Choice for a ladies’ night happy hour reading, 7pm on August 15. Yes, you read that correctly. Ladies’ night. Poetry. Wine bar. Does it get better than that? Did I mention it’s on the gorgeous Kirkland waterfront?
Then, at 7pm on the 26th of August, I’ll be reading at Annie Bloom’s Books in my dear former hometown of Portland, Oregon.
Finally–and you’ll have to wait a bit for this one–I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be a featured poet at next year’s Skagit River Poetry Festival in La Conner, Washington.
Great news about the featured poet gig. You are worthy. Hope to see you at Grape Vines.
