This has been a huge year for readings for me (in the past 9 months, I’ve done 20 readings from Burn This House. Now, that may not sound like much, but what can I say: I’m an introvert. Getting on stage 20 times is a big deal for an introvert). Tomorrow marks my last reading of the year, and I can’t think of a better venue or group of ladies with whom to round out a great year of literature.
Tomorrow night, I’ll be reading with Nicelle Davis, Maggie MK Hess, Sierra Nelson, and Alexis Vergalla at Richard Hugo House in Seattle (7:00 pm) in an event titled “The Magical Number Seven, Plus or Minus Two: Some Limits on Our Capacity for Processing Information.” We’ll each be reading work that investigates what happens when memory, attention, imagery, and language and production are pushed to the nth degree.
We hope to see you there, Seattle.
